Hands-on Athletic Training Experience

Fellows gain experience in the high school and clinic settings during the Fellowship. In addition, opportunities exist for per diem work in college settings (Saint Anselm College, Hesser College) and for observational experience with professional sports (Manchester Monarchs - AHL Hockey).

High School

The Fellows will work at Manchester High School/s either as Head Athletic Trainer or as Co-Head with the other Fellow.

Clinic Setting

Apple Therapy Services provides a clinical experience for the Fellows. When in the clinic, Fellows have primary responsibility for our Safe Sports Network drop-in clinic. This clinic is open to Manchester-area athletes and provides evaluation, referral and initial/home treatment of athletic injuries. When Safe Sports is not busy, Fellows observe PTs and PTAs in the delivery of physical therapy care to their patients. There is significant exposure to rehabilitation theory and practice during this time.
